MBS Introduces new Technical Sales Representative
MBS is excited to introduce our new Technical Sales Representative,Adam Curtis who comes to us from the Master's Program of Immunology at USM, an interdisciplinary graduate program which provides a foundation in immunology, molecular biology, and toxicology. His addition increases the technical knowledge base offered by the MBS sales team for both our products and custom services. Four years ago Adam worked at MBS in the Immunochemistry lab and we are very happy to have him return as part of the Sales Department during this very exciting time for our company. MBS Generates Data on Hybridoma Successes
MBS spent part of the summer gathering and reviewing statistics on our Hybridoma Development program. The findings indicate that since 2001, 94% of all fusions generated at least one positve clone and 47% of the total fusions yielded more than 50 positive clones. MBS is particularly proud that the statistics for our Rapid 28 day immunization protocol resulted in even better numbers with 97% of fusions generating at least one positive and 49% yielding 50 or more positives.
MBS will continue to take a critical look at this type of data to ensure that our quality standard stays at the high level that our customers have come to expect. |

MBS Presented on Block Purification at AACC
Cheryl Steenstra, an R&D Scientist for MBS gave a presentation at AACC on the innovative Block Purification protocol used by MBS. The method is used to get an early look at the realative affinities of fusion products. The addition of this early instight in to ranking clones is agreat impovement over tradtional later screening methods alone.
