Polyclonal Antibody Development

MBS offers quality polyclonal antibody production services for pharmaceutical and diagnostic companies, academia and research institutions. We also produce polyclonal antibody for our own catalogue reagent sales. In cooperation with our NIH-OPRR approved polyclonal facility, we offer rabbit polyclonal antibody development, goat polyclonal antibody development and sheep polyclonal antibody development. All Polyclonal antibodies produced by MBS meet 1774EU/2002 shipping guidelines. This enables your product to be shipped into Europe.

Based on past experiences, if the size of the antigen is less than 20kD we recommend conjugation to a carrier protein such as KLH to produce the required immune response in the animal. Our immunization protocol is designed to increase antibody production, as well as increase antibody affinity. Test bleeds are sent to you for confirmatory screening at your request. Our ELISA results are graphed and e-mailed to you for your review. Collection of production bleeds begins when the screening data indicates that the animal has produced a high enough titer for your application. Production bleeds will be collected until your required amount of antiserum is achieved.

Purification by Protein A or G, as well as antigen specific affinity columns is available.
